Toys R Us Incorporated announced earlier this week it will shut about one-fifth of its stores in the United States in the coming months, as the company tries to emerge from bankruptcy. These closings include four in Missouri. The company will shut down stores in Chesterfield, Hazelwood, Columbia, and Cape Girardeau. A total of 180 stores in the U-S will be shuttered, with the rest being combined as Babies R Us and Toys R Us stores. Eight stores will remain open in Missouri. These include locations in Kansas City, St. Louis, Joplin, and Branson.
